After a week-long trip to the Missouri Breaks photographing elk, I decided to get out my camera during the last hour of light to photograph a bunny near the cabin. While photographing the bunny, I noticed some birds in the bushes. I slowly approached to make sure they wouldn't fly away. They seemed pretty content, and I was able to get pretty close. I looked through my camera and noticed they were White-crowned Sparrows, which are some of my favorite sparrows.
One of the first photos I really liked when I started taking photography seriously was of a large group of White-crowned Sparrows. This photo captures two of them, one right above the other, sitting in the setting sun's light.
