While I was on a hike, I noticed that a robin flew into a tree just above me on the ridge where I was standing. I slowly crept up to get more level with the bird and waited for the moment it would fly. Hoping to capture it in midair was the plan, and soon the robin took flight. I quickly captured this photo of it jumping to a tree just a few feet away.
