On a cold February day, I found myself in the middle of a large group of wild turkeys. They fed in front of me at about ten yards, and I was able to capture quite a few amazing photos, including this one showing a young male looking back at me with a group of hens around him.
Just for clarification, I didn’t make these turkeys fly or disturb them in any way. I stayed under the same tree the entire time and didn’t move, making sure they wouldn’t feel scared or threatened by my presence. Every turkey photo was simply a matter of being in the right spot at the right time.
