As spring was just beginning to appear, soft sounds of trickling water echoed through the bushes. When I looked closer, I discovered Cowbirds were the culprit. Intrigued by their beautiful calls, I was able to capture this photo. Although many people dislike members of the Icterid family, I find them quite beautiful, even without vibrant colors. From the Grackle’s head feathers glistening with bright blue hues to the soothing call of the Cowbird, each species is unique in its own way.
