While photographing the distant mountains glowing in golden sunlight, I found myself on a tall hill overlooking multiple layers—from a nearby road and hillside to the farmland stretching into the distance, and finally the towering mountain peaks rising above everything. It made for an interesting photo.
I’ve always been drawn to landscapes that show multiple “layers” of the land. They usually capture so much in a single image, and that has always interested me. This is one of my first attempts at using a layering technique, and I feel like I did a decent job.
